Our story

It began with a six-year-old's honest question.

RangRaksha was born from our own experience as a family trying to improve our home—and discovering that a painting quotation can look complete while still missing the most important question: what condition are the walls actually in?

The moment that started it

A child's comparison made us look at our home differently.

We are a family of three—two working parents and our six-year-old son. After visiting his friends' homes, he began asking why our home did not feel as fresh, colourful and well maintained as theirs.

“Why doesn't our home look as well maintained as my friends' homes?”

That simple question pushed us to act. We explored the available options, selected a provider and followed the standard process: the team visited, measured the property, defined the scope and presented a quotation.

Everything appeared organised on paper. The problem was that the inspection measured square feet, but it did not properly assess the health of the walls and ceilings. Moisture, dampness, weak plaster and surface quality were not treated as central inputs to the quotation.

The quote mentioned two coats of paint, so completing two coats became the objective—even where damaged walls needed repairs, drying time, a different primer or a more suitable treatment before painting.

When we raised these concerns, the experience became stressful. It involved repeated follow-ups, difficult conversations and uncertainty about who would take responsibility for finding the correct solution rather than simply completing the written line items.

What the experience taught us

A good painting project starts before the paint is opened.

RangRaksha is built around four principles designed to reduce the confusion, rework and communication gaps that homeowners commonly face.

01

Diagnose before quoting

We look beyond measurements and inspect wall condition, ceilings, visible dampness, moisture risks and weak surfaces before defining the solution.

02

Treat the surface, not the coat count

Two coats are not automatically the right answer. Repairs, drying, primer, preparation and product choice must match the condition of each surface.

03

Keep communication open

Customers should understand what was found, what needs to change, why it is necessary and how it affects the cost or schedule before work proceeds.

04

Choose lasting quality

We prefer recommending the right solution over winning a project with the lowest-looking quotation and leaving the homeowner with repeat problems.

Why RangRaksha exists

To make the experience smoother for busy families.

Working parents should not have to become site supervisors, moisture experts and dispute managers just to get their home painted properly. Our role is to inspect carefully, explain openly, recommend honestly and manage the accepted work with clear accountability.

  • Surface and moisture observations before final scope
  • Preparation and product decisions explained clearly
  • Open discussion when site conditions change
  • Progress checks and snag closure before handover
Our operating belief

Quality over the cheapest-looking price.

A lower quotation is not valuable if it ignores the underlying problem and creates repeat repair costs. We aim to recommend the most appropriate practical solution, communicate the trade-offs and let the customer make an informed decision.

What we want to change

A home-improvement experience built on diagnosis, quality and honest communication.

Customers should always understand the condition of their home, the proposed solution, the available options and the progress of the work—from the first inspection through final handover.
